The Yoga figures you can find everywhere in Berlin. Mostly out of cork an on top of streetsigns. This friendly girl is a sticker and comes with a big cat.

Today I´ve visited the exhibition of Morena. I met her and her girlfriend Silvia when I drove to the documenta13 to Kassel. We had a great chat in the car and recently they invited my to the exhibition of Morena.
She has a lovely little artspace in the heart of Neukölln. Her paintings are very diverse - one part realistic and just out of everyday life the other one vibrant, colourful and wild.
Occasionaly you can find her art on the streets too. She leaves her paintings at a windowsill, a fence or leaned at a tree - so everyone who likes her paintings can take them home. On her blog you can see where she left her paintings and maybe get one of beautiful artwork for free.
Drop by till Saturday (there is a little Finissage party) at Allerstr. 6, Berlin and meet her and her Doppelgänger.

Underneath the posters on the left you can see the garbage cans of Achos. More about him and his work you can find out here and here. I found this great video about how he puts his work on the walls on Viva Berolina.
Does any of you know the other artists?

Gentrification is a big topic in Berlin. Especially in Neukölln where the neighbourhood is changing so fast. Since I live here nearly every day a Cafe or Bar poped up nearby.
This Streetart poster says: "Me as a house would advice you to resist" and next to the arrow "time to outrage" (like the book of Stéphane Hessel). The photo of a big commercial ad for a DIY superstore just around the corner (Hermannstr./Flughafenstr.) was used as a blueprint for this poster.
There were more posters on this wall which are warning of touristic appartments and call out to stop speculators. Take a look.

This was really the only Streetart i saw at the documenta. It was hidden behind a bush at the Hugenottenhaus. But nevertheless if you have the chance to vistit Kassel in the this week - Do it! The exhibition is fantastic! If you have time and can get a room (what is quite difficult) go there - it is still on till the 09/16.
Here are a few impressions from my trip last week.
This is the back of the Hugenottenhaus. The art is so well integrated in the city. I really like this concept.
But even with the documenta going on, Kassel is still kind of quiet and peaceful. Here are some pictures i made of my favourite pieces.
This is Lara Favarettos "Momentary Monument IV" - you can find it behind the Hauptbahnhof.
This is a scene from the film of the African film maker William Kentridge.
At the end of a track at the Hauptbahnhof you find the magic sound installation from Susann Philipsz. Her work is so poetic!
Read more about her installation in Kassel here.

This beautiful picture is by broken window. I think all four of them are great and make a nice quartette.
I really like the name of the artist: broken window. It is witty to turn around the broken-window-theory and to make the statement that this "art of destruction" makes a neighborhood more worthy because it gets more attractive to live in.
At least thats how I understand it. What do you think?

A super cool backyard in the Weserstr. in Neukölln. It´s really worth it to take a stroll around in this area. There is so much great art in the streets. In the next days i will post more pictures i´ve done in the hallway of this house (and i made lots). It was kind of difficult to get into the house because you need a key to enter but i´ve asked a girl who owns a shop next door she was really nice and opened the door for me.
